Collaboration between Qom University and the Judiciary to Develop the Intelligent Judicial Case System
The Head of the Information Technology and Communication Center of the Judiciary announced the collaboration with Qom University to smartify the judicial case management system, stating that law professors, students, and graduates will soon be able to use this system and its 10 million judicial data records.
The Necessity of Smartification and the Judicial Transformation Document
Mohammad Kazemifard, Head of the Information Technology and Communication Center of the Judiciary, on the sidelines of his visit to the Research Deputy of Qom University, stated: “One of the duties emphasized in the Judicial Transformation Document and based on the Supreme Leader’s directive to the Head of the Judiciary, is the use of modern technologies in judicial processes.”
He added: “In this regard, the judicial case management system has been developed with a focus on smartification and the use of artificial intelligence, and to achieve this goal, utilizing the capacity of the country’s scientific community was placed on the agenda.”
The Role of Qom University in Developing the Intelligent System
The Head of the Information Technology and Communication Center of the Judiciary continued: “Given its suitable capacities in this field, Qom University announced its readiness, and the introduction of artificial intelligence into the judicial case management system was formed in collaboration with this university.”
“It was decided that this interaction with the country’s elite and academic community will continue, and Qom University will also help solve some of the people’s issues and problems in analytical and research areas using the extensive data available in the Judiciary.”
Features and Intelligent Assistants of the System
Kazemifard said: “Currently, various intelligent tools have been designed in this system, and other tools are being developed for further expansion.”
Judge’s Intelligent Assistant
This assistant is designed to provide legal assistance to judges during the case review process.
Verdict Robustness Assistant
This intelligent tool is used to review and evaluate the verdict before the final issuance by the judge.
Draft Verdict Generation
The ‘Intelligent Draft Verdict Generation Assistant’ is another feature designed in this system to accelerate and increase accuracy in judicial affairs.
Granting Access to the Academic Community
Pointing to previous interactions with the Ministry of Science, Kazemifard clarified: “In meetings we previously had with the honorable Minister of Science, it was agreed to carry out some joint actions, including granting user access to holders of law degrees.”
Access to 10 Million Judicial Data Records
Referring to the issue of publishing judicial data, he stated: “The publication of 10 million judicial data records and verdicts was one of the topics previously announced for knowledge-based companies so they could train their intelligent engines.”
The Head of the Information Technology and Communication Center of the Judiciary clarified: “This action was formed as part of an agreement made with the Ministry of Science, and Qom University is the first university to receive live access to these 10 million judicial data records today.”
