Developing Artificial Intelligence Software in the Field of Specialized Knowledge
Development of a native intelligent engine by Qom University researchers; integrating advanced natural language processing technologies with the specialized and native needs of the community.

Introduction to the Laboratory and Developmental Goals
Dr. Amir Jalali Bidgoli, the head of the Intelligent Software Laboratory at Qom University, announced the development of advanced artificial intelligence software in the field of specialized knowledge. The body of this laboratory consists of graduate students and experienced professors from Qom University, whose main focus is on AI-based tools.
The main goal of this laboratory is not merely theoretical research; rather, efforts are made to engage graduate students in real-world challenges so that, in addition to theoretical learning, they acquire the practical skills needed for a strong entry into the computer industry.
Initial Idea and the Challenge of General Models
The spark for creating one of the latest products of this laboratory was ignited concurrently with the emergence of ChatGPT. After extensive research, it was concluded that general artificial intelligences like ChatGPT perform excellently in general knowledge, but when directed towards specialized and localized knowledge, they exhibit weaker performance.
Development of the Sharia Answering Assistant
Given the importance of jurisprudential issues in Qom province, the idea of designing a smart engine similar to ChatGPT, but specialized in answering Sharia questions, was formed.
Broad Applications and Prospects
Dr. Jalali, emphasizing that this capability was formed relying on the students, enumerated various application areas for this platform:
Organizational and Pilgrim Guide
Usage in organizations like the municipality to guide visitors, and in the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (PBUH) for the precise guidance of pilgrims.
Smart Sales Assistant
Deployment in shopping centers and online shopping sites as a salesperson with unlimited patience.
Academic Assistant
Guiding international students in various languages and assisting professors in their teaching and research processes.
